Have you ever dreamed of owning your own restaurant? In this hands-on project-based learning class, students will work together to create and launch a restaurant concept from the ground up. Along the way, they will explore entrepreneurship, menu development, budgeting, marketing, customer service, design, and teamwork while integrating skills from math, language arts, social studies, and the arts. Students will participate in a variety of creative and practical activities as they bring their restaurant vision to life. Please note that some projects may require students to bring additional supplies or materials from home throughout the semester to support different phases of the business-building process.
Build a Biz - Toy Store

What does it take to create a successful toy store? In this engaging project-based learning class, students will become entrepreneurs as they design and develop their own toy store concept. From creating products and selecting inventory to designing a store layout, developing a brand, setting prices, and marketing to customers, students will gain hands-on experience in business planning and creative problem-solving. Along the way, they will strengthen skills in math, language arts, design, communication, and teamwork while learning how businesses operate in the real world. Please note that some projects may require students to bring additional supplies or materials from home throughout the semester to support various stages of the business development process.
Create a Market Day

What does it take to turn an idea into a product and a customer into a sale? In this exciting project-based learning class, students will work individually or in teams to create products, develop a brand, and launch their own business for a culminating Market Day event. Throughout the semester, students will explore entrepreneurship, product development, budgeting, pricing, marketing, customer service, and sales strategies while gaining hands-on experience in running a small business. From brainstorming and designing products to creating displays and promoting their businesses, students will build valuable real-world skills in creativity, communication, problem-solving, and leadership. The semester will culminate in a community Market Day where students will showcase and sell their products. Please note that students will be responsible for providing materials needed to create their products and may be asked to bring additional supplies throughout the semester as their businesses develop.

In this meaningful project-based learning class, students will work together to identify a need within their community and develop a service project designed to make a positive impact. From brainstorming ideas and researching community needs to planning, organizing, fundraising, marketing, and executing their project, students will experience every stage of bringing a vision to life. Along the way, they will strengthen leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and project management skills while learning the value of serving others. Whether supporting a local organization, organizing a community event, or meeting a specific need, students will gain real-world experience and see firsthand how their efforts can make a difference. Please note that some projects may require students to bring additional supplies or materials from home throughout the semester to support various aspects of the service project.

In this high school project-based learning class, students will take on the role of entrepreneurs as they develop a complete business plan from concept to presentation. Throughout the semester, students will explore market research, target audiences, branding, budgeting, operations, pricing, marketing strategies, and financial planning while building a business model of their own. Through hands-on projects, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving, students will gain practical experience in entrepreneurship and learn what it takes to launch and sustain a successful venture. The course will culminate in a professional business plan and pitch presentation, providing valuable experience in communication, leadership, and critical thinking.
